It started with my hip.
A growth spurt left one hip flexor short. It pulled my pelvis out of line and quietly loaded the opposite side until that side gave out. The diagnosis was bursitis, and for months the treatment went exactly where the pain was. Cortisone. Drained fluid. Rest.
It kept coming back, because nobody was looking at the side that was actually tight. The pain was the symptom. The short muscle was the cause, and it was nowhere near the thing that hurt.
What finally held was doing two things at once. Lengthen what was tight. Strengthen what was weak. Either one alone gives it back within weeks, and if you stop practicing, it reverts.
Shame, guilt, and blame are the tight muscle of an unfulfilled financial life. Spending, borrowing, and consuming are the reflex that muscle trained. Meanwhile the capacity nobody uses, letting money go to work and live more than one life, sits weak from disuse.
Handing someone a better plan does not change any of that. It is the same mistake as treating the hip that hurts. So I built the thing that does.
